About Cabrini University
After more than six decades of providing an Education of the Heart inspired by Mother Cabrini and the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus (MSCs), Cabrini University Cabrini University held its final commencement ceremony on May 19, 2024, and officially closed its doors on June 28, 2024.
Founded in 1957, Cabrini was an accredited residential Catholic institution in Pennsylvania dedicated to academic excellence, leadership development, and a commitment to social justice and that welcomed learners of all faiths, cultures, and backgrounds.
Originally part of the international education ministry of the Catholic Church and the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, the order founded by Saint Frances Xavier Cabrini the institution was founded by Sister Ursula Infante, MSC, who established Cabrini College in 1957. Cabrini acquired University status in 2016.
As our religious sponsors, the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus carry on the apostolic work of Mother Cabrini today. The MSCs, their lay collaborators, and volunteers work as teachers, nurses, social workers, administrators, and members of institutional boards of trustees throughout the world.
